ACT Says Goodbye to Board Members (For Now)

Unfortunately, for personal reasons both Anthony Ducharme and Katherine McLennan have had to stepdown from the Board after completing their terms as President and Regional Representative respectively.  Anthony joined the Board as Vice-President in 2017 from A-Spire Players; while Katherine, a long time member of Shoestring Players joined the Board in 2018.  Both have indicated that they will continue to participate in Theatre and that this may not be the last we see of them on the Board.

New ACT Board Members

As a result of the elections held at the AGM, ACT MB welcomes new Board members, Hannon Bell of Shoestring Players of Winnipeg and Stephanie Kaufman of Prairie Drama Academy of Portage La Prairie as Regional Representatives.  Interim President Alice Young and Secretary Myrna Tiede were each acclaimed to their positions for a 2 year term, while newly acclaimed to the Vice President position is previous Regional Representative Cheryl Martin.  There is still one Regional Representative position open for the remaining 1 year of a term.  If you are interested, please contact us.

A reminder that membership renewals are due in by the end of October.  The membership fee remains set at $150.00.  As in 2020, the full value of the membership fee will be returned to the member companies in recognition of the pandemic related challenges that our member groups are experiencing; however you must register first.  The membership document is found in the MEMBER / REGISTRATION tab on the menu above, and we ask that you complete it and send it in before October 31st.  Payments can be made by cheque or by e-transfer to mail@actmanitoba.mb.ca.

ACT MB Common Forms and Documents - NEW MENU OPTION

As previously posted, the Board adopted Dropbox as it’s primary archival system for storing copies of all of ACT’s electronic documents.  By maintaining and accessing the documents online, the Board hopes to eliminate carrying and distributing binders of information and years of archival documents, while still providing the most recent versions of items to those that need them.  You can now view the folder of documents under the SERVICES / FORMS & DOCUMENTS tab on the menu above or the previously provided link at ACT MB Common Forms & Documents.
